Annette Larkins believes we must eat those things that are conducive to great health. At 74 years old and looking many, many years younger this raw food expert is a shining example of how a plant-based diet can help us maintain our health.

Annette grows her food in her back yard. She is an avid juicer and eats raw and uncooked vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds.

Annette has written two booklets. One called Journey to Health and Journey to Health 2 in which she helps people start their own raw food journey.
I don’t want to be disrespectful about anyone but I really can tell the difference between Annette and her husband who continues to eat a standard diet. It is great that despite all her family eating the standard way that she developed her own way of healthy eating.

One of the things that makes my transition into a more raw plant-based diet difficult is that I still cook for my youngest and I find it hard to resist all the foods I still buy for him. In the next 18 months when he is in university and I live alone I am hoping that will get easier for me but I am not sure if I will ever go 100% raw or vegan.
