When I first started looking into building self confidence I used to ask myself “what is self confidence and how will I know when I have it?”

To me it was this elusive thing that I could never experience because I was so full of negativity and fear.

The definition of healthy self-confidence is someone who believes in their ability and includes assurance: freedom from doubt; belief in yourself and your abilities.

It took me a long time to realize that like the definition for success or even happiness self confidence is something I needed to define for myself rather than rely on another person’s interpretation of what it is.

So, with that in mind below is a video that asks and answers the question “what is self confidence?”

It explains how repetition is the key to building self-confidence.
